Take 5: Alarm Systems’ Jenna Love
Protecting our community is our foremost objective but we couldn’t do it without our amazing team. This month we are featuring Jenna Love our Operations Scheduler/Project Coordinator. She ensures that our customers get their security systems installed efficiently and serviced quickly.
What is your role at Alarm Systems?
As our Operations Scheduler/Project Coordinator, Jenna organizes the tech schedule for new installs and service. Her role requires her to work between sales and operations to ensure the techs have the right information and hours to complete their work. She also coordinates with customers to set service dates.
The role is expanding to include
Project Coordination, to help us as an organization better navigate larger projects. Jenna is excited “It’s something new, but I am very excited to learn”.
What brought you to Alarm Systems – and when did you join?
Jenna is one of our newest team members, joining Alarm Systems this summer. With a background in Security, Jenna has worked as a guard and enjoys the challenges and experience of this industry. Initially, she applied to be a technician but with her background in scheduling our Operations manager, Jim McFarlin thought she’d be the perfect fit for another role that had recently been made available.
Jenna eagerly accepted and joined the Operations department as the Scheduler/Project Coordinator.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
On weekends you’ll find Jenna connecting with family and friends. “We do couples game nights with friends, sometimes which is always fun.” Otherwise, Jenna has spent Pandemic much like the rest of us binging murder shows and relaxing at home.
The real highlight of Jenna’s weekends is playing with her adorable dog Beau. The chocolate lab puppy loves to cuddle.
If you had to be trapped in a fictional universe for a month, which would you choose?
“The Jungle Book,” Jenna quickly replies. Aside from being a childhood favourite, she loves the outdoors and warm weather so the jungles of India appeal to her for a month-long fantasy vacation.
“Even with the murderous predators?” I remarked, “yes,” she laughs “They look like they have a lot of fun and all watch out for each other, which should appeal to everyday life.”
In honour of “Spooky Month”, what dead person would you most want to be haunted by & why?
“It would have to be Patrick Swayze.”
No probably not the one you’re thinking of.
“I would love to do the lift from Dirty Dancing” she laughs. It is a classic movie moment I can relate to wanting to re-enact it.
“Who would you least want to be haunted by?” I ask. “Beetlejuice, he just freaks me out, the whole movie does”.
