Employees Support Good Baby Box.

The Initiative

It all started with one email from a passionate employee. Joshua DeLarge, a Senior Operator at our Central Monitoring Station reached out to his co-workers to support a cause that is important to him, and his peers did not disappoint.

The Community Development Council of Quinte is running a baby food drive through their Good Baby Box program. Josh sent out a mass email to all Alarm Systems employees saying that the food drive was currently shy of their donation goal and that he was organizing a donation pool at the Monitoring Station to purchase baby food for donation. Staff at the Alarm Systems office immediately agreed to do the same, raising over $200.00 the first day.
“What motivated me most was was knowing that we have a connection with the community. Being a smaller, locally owned business I had the hopes that we would be able to band together to support this cause after reading about it online. We certainly surpassed what I had expected!” Josh said when asked why he was inspired to ask his co-workers to join him in supporting the cause.

The Result

In total, this employee driven initiative produced a donation of 615 jars of baby food and an additional $55.00 that remained after purchasing the jars.

We are so proud to have employees that are dedicated to giving back to important causes in our community. Special recognition goes out to Joshua for spearheading this donation campaign.
How to Support

The baby food drive ends on June 18th and Good Baby Box is still shy of its goal of 9,300 jars. Donations can be made at any of the 12 locations across Hastings and Prince Edward County.
