Communication Options For Monitoring

Reliable communication between your Home Security System and the Central Monitoring Station is critical when it comes to protecting your home and loved ones 24 hours a day. You want to be assured that your system is able to send an alarm immediately in case of an emergency, in all circumstances. With the advanced technologies today, you have more options to choose from for the alarm transmission.

If you are considering removing your landline, talk to us today about how you can switch the communication for monitoring from landline to another form and still have your system monitored by our Central Monitoring Station.

  • Landline

A landline phone connection is used to communicate with the Central Monitoring Station when the alarm is triggered.

  • Cellular

A Cellular Network is used to communicate with the Central Monitoring Station when the alarm is triggered. Cellular is often considered a more reliable option because alarm signals can still be sent even if the telephone lines are cut.

  • Internet/Wifi

Your Internet/Wifi connection is used to send alarm signals to the Central Monitoring Station when the alarm is triggered.

  • SecureNet™ Radio

Alarm Systems/Falcon Security’s SecureNet™ Radio network is used to communicate with the Central Monitoring Station when the alarm is triggered. SecureNet™ Radio is a wireless system that utilizes Alarm Systems/Falcon Security’s own radio frequency. This is a ULC listed form of communication that communicates with our Central Monitoring Station. This exclusive communication route acts as an electronic net and it provides many paths for your alarm signal to travel, ensuring that it gets through every time.

Which one is the best for you?

Nowadays, the communication infrastructure at residential premises can vary significantly. At any home, landline, Cellular, internet/Wifi and SecureNet Radio network can all exist, alone or in any combination.

There are pro’s and con’s in each option and it always depends on the location and communication infrastructure of your premises.

So, which communication option is the best for you?

Our Security Consultant will be able to assess and recommend the best option(s) based on your individual situation.  We have the flexibility to offer optimal communications and backup options for the widest array of homes.  And in most cases, we will be able to update installed security solutions as infrastructure changes.
