Operation Red Nose Quinte has completed another record year with the help of many friends in the Quinte region. Alarm Systems is grateful for the support, participation and friendship of our volunteers, and is proud to be part of such a generous community.
Organizers of Operation Red Nose Quinte announced Friday night they raised $41,000 between Nov. 28 and Dec. 31. Donations are collected in exchange for 1,302 rides home for holiday revellers in order to reduce impaired driving.
About Operation Red Nose
Operation Red Nose is a unique December-only designated driver program that operates for free. When you call your local Operation Red Nose headquarters, a three-person Driving Team will be dispatched to pick up you, your passengers AND your car. You and your fellow passengers will be driven to your destination in your vehicle and followed by an Operation Red Nose Escort. You can even call more than once during the same evening. Everyone gets home safely and your vehicle will be there waiting for you in the morning, all free of charge. Donations are accepted and all proceeds will go toward supporting local programs.
Alarm Systems Supports Operation Red Nose Quinte
As a local Security Solution Provider, Alarm Systems is passionate about creating a safer community! We have been privileged to be able to provide support to Operation Red Nose in the past number of years through donations of radio equipment. This year, Kristin Crowe, The President of Alarm Systems, took on the role of Co-Chair of the program and participated in the publicity and awareness campaign of this program, aiming to keep our community safe in the holiday season.
A total of $41,000 was raised this year – the YMCA of Central East Ontario’s Strong Kids program received $30,500 and the Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise received $10,500 on behalf of Camp Trillium, the Prince Edward County camp for seriously-ill children.
