On-Premises System Control From Web-enabled Devices

The built-in web server allows you to locally control your system anywhere in your home on smartphones, smart TV, tablets or any web-enabled device using your home’s Wi-Fi network.

Think you forgot to turn off your outside lights when you are downstairs watching a movie? Just reach for your smartphone and check.

You can keep an eye on your children when they are at home through internet TV from the comfort of your couch.

On-Premises Video Viewing & Recording

You can view up to four indoor/outdoor IP cameras around your home on the touchscreen, smartphones, tablets or televisions.

Keep an eye on your children and pets, screen visitors at your entranceway and view activity occurring around the interior or exterior of your home whenever and wherever you want.

Record up to two minute video clips on an SD card, providing you with visual verification of an alarm event or system activity.

Thermostat

Manage your energy costs with customized scenes that can control your Z-Wave® enabled thermostats

  • Arrive home from work to have the thermostat set to the perfect temperature and program thermostats to provide time-of-day temperature changes.
  • Z-Wave enabled thermostats can automatically adjust every time you arm or disarm your security system.
  • Design customized scenes and schedules for comfort and energy savings, or control your thermostats on-the-go via your smartphone.
  • Create lockouts to keep temperature limited to a minimum or maximum setting—ideal in homes where children may attempt to adjust the thermostat.

Lighting

Customize scenes for comfort, security and convenience

  • Turn Z-Wave® enabled indoor and outdoor lights on or off when you arm or disarm your security system.
  • Create scenes for anything from going to bed at night to returning home from work or entertaining.
  • Watching a movie? You can have the lights dimmed to the perfect viewing level.
  • Tell your system to turn one set of lights on 30 minutes before you get home from work and turn another off an hour after you’ve gone to bed.

shades

Shades

Operate Z-Wave enabled shades in your home for ambiance, privacy and security by raising and lowering them at specified times.

  • The shades can be programmed to be lowered at specific times of day to block the blazing sun and be raised afterward—a great way to avoid needlessly heating your home and incurring extra expenses.
  • Automated shades make it easier to access skylights and other hard-to-reach windows above sinks, counters and bathtubs or in high foyers. They are also an ideal way to reduce glare and help protect furniture, floors, carpeting and artwork from the damaging effects of direct sunlight.

Scheduling

Easy to set scenes that occur on a regular basis through Z-Wave® technology:

  • You can unlock the front door for a babysitter or housekeeper at the same time every week.
  • Set the lights to turn off when you leave your home in the morning and turn on before you arrive home at night.
  • A schedule might be created to have the porch and hallway lights on and the thermostat set to a specific temperature an hour before you leave the office so you arrive to a comfortable, well-lit home.
  • You can have your outdoor lights automatically turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. This convenient feature updates automatically and even adjusts for daylight savings.

Event Driven Scene Setting & Creating Rules

You can combine sensors in your security system and Home automation for event-driven scene settings. For example, if your child wakes up at night and enters a dark hallway, the motion sensor can trip a Z-Wave® light to come on automatically and safeguard them against trips and falls.

Creating rules would allow you to tie the home automation scenes to events from the security system. For example, a “Goodnight” rule could entail having the doors lock and the lights shut off when you arm your security system at night.
