Sales Representative (Security Solutions – Two Positions)

One position is for the Bay of Quinte Region and one for Leeds & Grenville

As a Sales Representative (Security Solutions) you must be a highly driven, motivated individual with a strong work ethic, a high degree of integrity and an entrepreneurial and achievement-oriented attitude. You must also have strong time-management, organizational and prioritization abilities.  Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are key along with the ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility with customers. Two years of experience as a successful commercial or business to business sales representative in the security, IT or other technology sales industry an asset.

Residential / Small Business Account Representatives (Full-Time Position) – Belleville

 

We are currently recruiting an Account Representative for the Belleville market. Alarm Systems was founded in 1972 and is a family owned business that is progressive, client-focused and committed to meaningful careers for our employees. In 2008 Alarm Systems purchased Falcon Security located in Brockville and the two banners have positioned the organization as a regional leader, providing commercial and residential security and safety solutions in the Belleville, Kingston and Brockville markets.

Job Description

As an Account Representative, you are an experienced, organized, and motivated professional who has a proven track record selling products and services to homeowners, renters and small / medium sized enterprises. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to adapt to various personality styles and situations.

Responsibilities

• Represent Alarm Systems/Falcon Security to residential end-users, small businesses, insurance companies and credible influencers;
• Prepare accurate and timely records of customer and sales call activities for planning purposes;
• Create weekly plans to advance relationships in the region in a proactive manner;
• Develop superior product knowledge in security technology, home automation, 24 hour monitoring, personal emergency response systems and integrated video systems to communicate appropriate solutions;
• Gather market intelligence and recommend an appropriate course of action to the Regional Sales Manager in a timely and proactive manner.

Requirements

Eligible candidates must have a proven sales record with a minimum of 2 years as a business building representative in a service or solution environment. The successful candidate will be a college / university graduate in business, marketing, or technology. A team player, combined with superior communication skills, will result in building strong internal and external relationships. Extensive understanding of buyer personalities and knowledge of the security industry would be an asset.
An automobile and police check is required, this position is located in the Belleville area. A competitive remuneration package related to qualifications and an incentive program will be available to the successful candidates.

Job Description

As a Commercial Sales Representative, you are responsible for promoting and selling Alarm Systems/Falcon Security’s services and technology, leveraging relationships and closing new business while ensuring customer retention. Alarm Systems/Falcon Security provides opportunities to custom design the most current security solutions in the industry including technologies such as Video, Access Control, Intrusion, Environmental, Fire, Medical, and Connected Homes, all of which send signals to our Professional Monitoring Station.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prospect new and existing commercial business through traditional cold calling and creative lead-generating techniques
  • Expand market share by selling products and services to new commercial customers
  • Provide existing commercial customers knowledge and information on new technology
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge base of complete line of products and services and customer needs through training and research
  • Obtain referrals and work with circles of influence
  • Conduct post installation follow ups to ensure commitments have been delivered
  • Maintain and submit timely pipeline reports

Central Station Dispatch Operators

As our organization continues to expand  we are currently looking for 2 individuals to join our central monitoring station that is located in Belleville. Our company’s success to-date has been dependent on strong technology, and developing all members of our talent roster and staff engagement.

Job Description

As a Central Station Dispatch Operator you will monitor our security sites, receiving signals and dispatching emergency personnel if and when necessary.  Regular interaction with customers and diligently following security systems and processes is a key priority.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receiving and processing incoming calls from customers ranging from general inquiries to technical support issues.
  • Monitoring and processing incoming alarm events from residential and commercial properties and conducting outbound contact calls as needed.
  • Initiating outbound calls to residential and commercial customers to conduct periodic tests on security systems and to verify contact information.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service abilities, telephone communication and computer skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to learn new technology software and follow systems.
  • Ability to multiple task and deliver a high level of quality work based on procedures.
  • A proven track record of working well with clients and colleagues.
  • Must be able to  work all shifts, days, afternoons, nights and weekends since the Central Station operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Security Installation Technician

Job Description

Installation Technicians program, install, service and maintain a wide range of security systems. We train and provide opportunities to work with and install the most current security solutions in the industry including technologies such as Connected Homes, Video, Access Control, Intrusion, Environmental, Fire, and Medical, all of which send signals to our Professional Monitoring Station.

Requirements

  • Well-groomed professional appearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
  • Strong dexterity and fine motor skills Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Experience or interest/aptitude in any of the following:
    o Security, Fire, Managed Access, Video, Life Safety systems
    o Mechanical / engineered equipment
    o Electrical / electronic equipment
    o Computers, programs, networking, IP
  • Clean criminal background check, and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working in the following situations:
    o At heights
    o In confined spaces
    o In inclement weather
    o Away from home
  • Conform with policies including safety footwear, hard hats, safety eyewear and hearing protection. Some jobs require other specific items which are provided. An allowance to subsidize safety footwear is provided.
  • Employee owned basic tools are required. Power tools and job-specific items are provided.
